If your using Delorme Street products, you can plug a cell phone card into the USB hub and I think you can have live traffic (or was it construction) updates on the screen. Or if your are enterprising, you could install a touch screen on that 7" monitor. ![]() Or you can velcro this on your tank (or tank bag) to control the netbook. ![]() Now you can start the delorme product on your netbook, switch over to the 7" screen, and control it with voice commands through your bike intercom system, while your netbook rides closed in your luggage. Then plug the earthmate into the USB hub. (the stand shown comes off with 1 thumb screw, where you can put a ram mount plate instead.) Run one of these 7" monitors on your handlebars, it plugs into the USB hub (this is why it has to be a powered hub). ![]() Get a 12V to USB charger adapter (5V) and make a cable that will power the USB hub from this 12V to USB charger. Run 1 usb cable up to a powered USB hub near the front of the bike (tank bag). Wire your bike intercom (autocom?) to your netbook for both audio and mic. Setup your netbook so it will run in the closed position.
